Terry W. Hillegass

Terry W. Hillegass, 64, of Bedford, died on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at UPMC Bedford Hospital.  He was born on September 30, 1959 in Bedford, a son of the late Evan R. and Helen (Kerr) Hillegass. He is survived by his fiancée Sherry Price of Bedford; a son, Dustin Hillegass and fiancée Shana of Duncansville; a daughter, Kerry Miller of Bedford; two grandchildren: Kai Hillegass and Brayden Miller; a step-daughter, Charity Price of Bedford; a step-son, Shaun Wertz of Bedford; one brother David Hillegass and wife Sharon of Harrisburg; two step-sisters, Yvonne Toth and husband Bob of Windber, and Shirley Mock Bakken and husband LaVerne of Manns Choice; and a son-in-law, T.J.  Miller of Bedford. He was preceded in death by a two step-mothers: Mae (Burket) Hillegass and Gail (Calhoun) Hillegass; one sister, Paula Hillegass; and two brothers Galen and Barry Hillegass.

Terry graduated from Bedford High School in 1977.  He retired after 35 years from the construction industry installing ceilings.  He enjoyed spending time with his family especially the grandchildren.  He also enjoyed hunting, the family farm, riding his Harley, and going to the beach.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with Pastor Kelly Hillegass officiating.  Friends will be received on Monday from 4 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
