Teresa Kay Leppert

May 16, 1956 — Jul 10, 2026

Everett

Teresa Kay Leppert, 70, of Everett, passed away at her home on Friday, July 10, 2026. She was born on May 16, 1956 in Bedford, the oldest daughter of Bill and Becky (Cessna) Wolfe. On November 17, 2007 in Elk County, PA, she married Larry Leppert and he survives along with her father, Bill; a sister: Karen Brandt and husband Jim of Crestview, FL; two children: Jason Cessna and wife Jenna Epstein of Artemas and Amy Fritz and husband Rudi of Bedford; two step-children: Ginger Ritter and husband Ryan of Evansville, IN, and Kirk Leppert and wife Emily of Richmond, VA; four grandchildren: Quinn and Owen Cessna, Haley and Cooper Fritz; and five step-grandchildren: Julianne, RJ, Brooklyn, Ivey, and Charlie Ritter. She was preceded in death by her mother, Becky Wolfe and her previous husband, Greg F. Cessna.

Teresa dedicated 40 years of her life to bedside hospital nursing, caring for patients and inspiring them. She had a passion for education and was honored with an excellence in patient teaching award. In retirement, Teresa continued to use her nursing skills to help her parents as they needed care.

Teresa and Larry delighted in traveling, hiking, and camping from the Adirondacks to the Shenandoah Mountains, Cades Cove, The Smokies, onto Kentucky and Tennessee and westward to the Black Hills, Rockies, Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier, the Snake River Sorge, the Redwoods, and Northern Pacific Coast. Of special significance was Elk County where Teresa and Larry not only met but married. They spent weeks each fall there with their respective parents and many friends hiking, seeking out elk, swapping stories around the campfire, and forging deep bonds with the land and people.

Teresa’s joy grew exponentially when she became a grandmother. From infancy, to toddlers, to watching them grow into young athletes, Teresa and Larry spent countless hours with the kids playing in the sandbox, exploring nature, sharing meals, and just having fun.

Teresa was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Everett, taught Sabbath School for several years and was a passionate advocate for religious liberty.

Teresa would like to thank all the people who have loved her and shared her journey through life, especially her husband and family. A special thanks goes to Bedford Hospital with deep gratitude to Ethan and Heather. She reminds us to treasure our health, our family, and our life as we never know when it will be snatched from us and end.

It is Teresa’s firm decision that there will be no service or memorials. She asks that you express comfort and compassion to Larry while also respecting his privacy. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford. Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
