Tammy P. Benton 40 of E. Pitt St., Bedford, died Monday, May 4, 2009 at her home. She was born June 15, 1968 in Everett, daughter of Terry L. Childers Sr. of Norfolk, VA, and Joyce Childers and companion Kenneth Wentz of Bedford. She is survived by a son Andrew Paul Benton at home and a brother Terry L. Childers and wife Carolyn of Altoona. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Paul and Catherine Price, Paternal grandparents Sam and Ida Childers and a sister Tina Kalfas.
She had worked as a flagman for New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co.
Graveside services: Thursday May 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Union Cemetery in Mench with Rev. Gary Boor officiating. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford. Our online guest book is available at wwwberkebilefunealhome.com.
