Suzann "Susie" Clapper, 58, of Everett, died on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. She was born on July 30, 1959, in Everett, a daughter of the late Francis "Star" and Vergie (Foor) Smith. On June 26, 1984, in Ray's Cove, she married Melvin C. Clapper who survives along with the following family: a daughter, Julie Star Fockler and husband Jeremy, of Everett; a son, Lucas Scott Clapper and fiancée Courtney Fleegle, of Everett; five grandchildren: Jaiden, Jaiman, Jovi, Jerzie, and Addalynn; one brother, James Smith and wife Joyce, of Williamsburg, VA; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Smith wife Patricia who survives of Hollidaysburg.
Susie was a member of the Everett Church of God and worked in retail for G.C. Murphy’s, Ames, and Wal-Mart. She also worked as a waitress for Perkins restaurant, in Breezewood. She enjoyed puzzles, sudoku, swimming, playing cards and spending time with her family.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at the Everett Church of God, with Pastor William Kisner and Pastor John Kisner officiating. Friends will be received on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.
