Susan Carl-Shroyer

Susan Carl-Shroyer 47, of Lake Drive, Bedford, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born December 1, 1960 in Pottsville, daughter of Arlene E. (Shuller) Carl of Bedford and the late Charles H. Carl. On May 6, 1994 in Bedford she married Steven C. Shroyer and he survives along with a step-daughter Jodi R. wife of Eric Casteel of Cresaptown, MD and two step-grandchildren Deneea R. Casteel and Kevin S. Shroyer.
Susan was a member of Bedford Trinity Lutheran Church, was an avid 18th Century living historian and teacher. She was a member of History Meets the Arts at
Lord Nelson’s Gallery in Gettysburg, was a member of Fort Frederick State Park Market Fair in Frederick, MD and also a member of Dixon’s Gun Makers Fair at Kutztown. She was employed as a quality control manager at Talley Defense Systems, Inc. in Davidsville.
Memorial services: Friday, October 24, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Bedford Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Raymond E. Short officiating. There will be no visitation.
