Susan Gale (Burkhart) Myers

Susan Gale Myers, 77 of New Paris, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning on February 2, 2025. She was born on March 27, 1947 in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Samual and Annabelle (Walters) Burkhart.  On January 20, 1968 in Johnstown, she married Joseph Eugene Myers and he preceded her in death on June 16, 2022.  She is survived by her three children: Kathie Ellis and her husband Chet of Imler; Joe Myers of Everett; and Sean Myers and his wife Shara of New Paris; seven grandchildren: LaShae Sollenberger and her husband Andrew; Brendon Myers; Breanna Myers; Brody Myers; Elaina Myers; and Zane Myers and one step-granddaughter Kristen Wright and husband T.J.; one great-grandchild: Elsie Sollenberger and two step-great-grandchildren.  Kamden and Kaleb Wright; two brothers: Jimmy Burkhart widower of Ruth of Windber, and Jerry Burkhart and wife Jackie of Johnstown. She was preceded in death by a step-brother, Owen Fye. Susan worked at Burger King in Bedford for many years as a cashier. She enjoyed socializing with people and enjoyed anything outdoors especially her flower garden. She also has a passion for sewing but most importantly she loved being with her family.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Pastor John Clemens officiating.
