Stanley Ray Fisher

Stanley Ray Fisher was born on May 18, 1926, in New Buena Vista, Bedford County, Pennsylvania; the first born son of Herbert & Jeannette Fisher. Stanley was joined by brothers Keith (deceased), David (deceased), Maurice, and sister Diane. On November 4, 2025, Stanley, from his home, peacefully left this world behind to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Stanley leaves behind his loving wife of 73 years Doris Moorhead Fisher, the love of his life, and their 3 children, son Jeff (Kathy), son Andy, and daughter Beth Ann (Larry). Stanley was blessed with 5 grandchildren: Suzanna (Troy), Brian, Becca (Derrick), Jenny (Adam), and Edward (Jamie), as well as 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-granddaughters.

Stanley served aboard ship in the Navy as Radioman Third Class, part of the "greatest generation" during World War II. He was employed by AT&T, A&P grocery store in Bedford, before working and retiring from the United States Postal Service, having served as Post Master of several local post offices (Fishertown, Shellsburg, and Pleasantville).

Stanley and Doris were members of St. Paul's Reformed Church and later Bedford Bible Church. Stanley was a people person who leaves behind a legacy of love for his family as well as friends and neighbors. He is greatly loved and greatly missed but is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Stanley knew that nothing could separate him "from the Love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord". Romans 8:38-39.
