Sonya E. McGhee, 66, of Sam Street, Bedford, died Monday, September 8, 2014 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 22, 1948, in Bedford, a daughter of the late Stephen S. and Lavina (Sparks) Smith. She is survived by the following family: a daughter, Lavina McGhee of Titusville, FL; a son, Roger McGhee, of Bedford, a grandson, Timmy, brother, Gerald Smith and wife Ida, of Bedford, and a sister, Kathleen Roarabaugh and husband Richard of Bedford. She was preceded in death by two brothers: William and Lamont Smith; and three sisters: Phyliss Smith, Arlene Shomo, and Mona Rose. Sonya enjoyed spending time Crocheting.
