Shirley A. Cropper

Shirley A. Cropper, 75, of Scranton Road, Manns Choice, died Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.  She was born on March 20, 1936, in Beaverdale, a daughter, of the late Carl Figard and Elizabeth M. (Shuhoney) Perri.  Shirley is survived by three beautiful daughters: Michelle A. wife of Rodney Allen of Bedford, Lynnette A. Ward and fiancé Todd M. Marsh of Ogletown, Renée I. Cropper of Chesterfield, VA; a fiancé, Jim Miller of Bedford; nine grandchildren: Jessica, Tyler, Robert, Shawn, Bruce Jr,, Jason and wife Stephanie, Jesse, Christopher, and Alexander, four great-grandchildren;  two sisters: Anna Marie and husband Jim Harshbarger of Hollidaysburg, Mary Shreffler, of Jennersville two brothers: Joseph Figard of Naples, FL, and Hershel Boring of Sidman. She was preceded in death by a daughter Mitze Clark, seven brothers: John, Paul, James, George, Ray, Carl, and Ronald Figard; four sisters: Dorothy Miller, Theresa Smith, Linda Robinette, and Betty Plummer.

She was a member of the Bedford United Methodist Church and the Bedford American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #113.  Shirley was a part owner for over 10 years at MeMoms in Manns Choice, she then retired as a chef from the Bedford American Legion.  She enjoyed bingo at the Schellsburg Fire Hall and gardening.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with the Rev. Jeff Welsch and Pastor Dave Schoenberger officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to service on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Bedford United Methodist Church, 132 East John Street, Bedford, PA 15522; and the Bedford American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #113, 3721 Business 220, Bedford, PA 15522.
