Shirley L. (Cornell) Davis

Shirley L. Davis 76, of Claysburg, died Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home.  She was born on July 13, 1944, in Clearville, a daughter of the late Blair and Cleva (Ressler) Cornell.  She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Davis, in 1983, and is survived by her second husband Donald Wills.  She is also survived by three brothers:, Donald Cornell and wife Gloria, of Everett, Roger Cornell and wife Yvonne, of Chesapeake, VA, and Ronald Cornell and wife Kathy, of Schellsburg; a sister Carol Croyle widow of Tom, of Schellsburg; four nephews, and two nieces.  She was preceded in death by a brother Robert Cornell.

Shirley attended the Lower Claar Church of the Brethren. She worked as a housekeeper for Best Western, and enjoyed flowers, gardening, camping, and going to Centre Hall to listen to country music.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Robert Smith officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m., until the hour of the service at the funeral home.  Those in attendance are asked to observe the recommendations pertaining to wearing masks and social distancing.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
