Shirley J. (Batzel) Grazer

Shirley J. Grazer 92, of Bedford, died Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at her residence.  She was born on August 28, 1932 in Tatesville a daughter of the late John E. and Lillian E. (Kagarise) Batzel Sr.  On October 31, 1959, in New Baltimore, she married Daniel D. Grazer who survives along with two sons: Jeffrey J. Grazer and wife Carmelita, of Fayetteville, NC and David R. Grazer and wife Marna Anne, of Alexandria, VA.  She was preceded in death by a brother John E. Batzel Jr., and his wife JoAnne.

Shirley was a 1950 graduate of Robert P. Smith High School and Catherman’s Business School.  She was a secretary for Mercersburg Academy and later Kennametal.  Shirley was a member of the Bedford Church of the Brethren, Bedford Elks Women’s Bowling Assoc., and Bedford Elks Women’s golf league.
