Seibert S. Oaks

Seibert S. Oaks 64 of  282 Oakbiew Road, Bedford, died Tuesday May 30, 2000  at the Altoona Hospital.  He was born April 26, 1936 in Everett to Hannah (Young) Oaks of Everett and the late J. Garvin Oaks.  On October 2, 1976 in Winchester, VA he married Patricia (Kuklo) Dively and she survives along with the following children: Jeffrey S. Oaks married to the former Diane Williams of Eden Prairie, Minn, Kerrie Conner of Waldorf, MD, Bradley S. Oaks at home, two step-children: Charles Dively and Cheri wife of Allen Marshall both of Bedford.  Also surviving are 2 grandsons, 3 step grandchildren, three brothers: J. Garvin Oaks Jr. married to the former Barbara Haase of Philadelphia.  Maurice D. Oaks married to the former Judy Raines of Doylestown and Donald P. Oaks married to the former Gladys Davis of Pine Grove.  He was preceded in death by a son Lawrence Oaks and a step-daughter Tammy Dively.  Mr. Oaks attended the Everett Schools, Steven’s Trade School and Tri-state Engineering School in Angola, Ind.  He was a member of the Bedford Trinity Lutheran Church and was a former member of the Everett Jaycees.  He served for a number of years in the Marine Reserves.  He started at Kennametal, Inc. in 1957 as a draftsman and held various positions with the company in Engineering, sales and marketing and presently was the manager of Forcasting and inventory contro.  Funeral Services: Friday June 2, 2000  at 11:00 AM from the Bedford Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Raymond E. Short officiating..  Burial in the Everett Cemetery.  Friens will be received on Thursday evening from 7-9 PM at the Funeral home.
