Sarah Evelyn Hann, 80, of East John Street, Bedford, died Monday, December 8, 2014, at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on November 20, 1934, in Clearville, a daughter of the late Ellis C. and Erma Mae (Rohrer) Hann. She is survived by four sisters: Elsie Hann, of Bedford, Leona Asper, widow of Calvin, of Hagerstown, MD, Betty wife of Lester Henry, of Centerville, and Alvera wife of John Smith, of York; and 19 nieces and nephews, who were the love of her life. She was preceded in death by brother: Charles Hann and his wife Mary and a brother, James Hann.
Sarah was a 1954 graduate of Everett Area High School, and retired in 1986 from the Harrisburg Area B’nai B’rith Home. She attended the Brethren Christ Church in Harrisburg, and in Everett, and most recently the Bedford Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed cooking and making crafts.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Curtis Bryant, and Pastor Marilyn Lerch, officiating. Burial will be held private. Friends will be received on Thursday, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home. Those wishing may make memorial contributions in Sarah’s name to: Samaritan’s Purse, P.O.
