Sandra G. Defibaugh

Sandra G. “Judy” Defibaugh, 65, of Forrest Drive, Bedford went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Altoona Regional Hospital.  She was born on August 31, 1943 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Richard J. Means and Florine M. (Myers) Means who survives of Bedford, along with a daughter Vickie wife of Greg Geisler of Bedford, a son, Richard and fiancee Terri Defibaugh of Bedford, three grandchildren: Jeffrey married to the former Jen Montgomery of Abilene, TX, Steven Geisler and Matthew Defibaugh both of Bedford, two great grandchildren: Wyatt and Noah Geisler.

She was the former manager at the Johnny Appleseed Restaurant, an assistant manager at the Sac Shop, and also had worked as a receptionist at J.S. Hearing Aid Service in Bedford.  She was a graduate of Bedford High School Class of 1961, and was of the protestant faith. She loved and cherished her dog and many cats, and was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.  She was blessed with many great friends (Dixie) and wonderful neighbors.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, Inc., with the Rev. Joseph Puleo officiating.  Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Friends will be received on Monday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.  Those wishing may make memorial contributions in Judy’s name to the Humane Society of Bedford County, 1108 Lutzville Road, Everett, PA 15537.
