Ruth C. Mock

Ruth C. Mock, 87, of Point Road, Schellsburg, died Saturday, December 12, 2015 at her residence. She was born on November 2, 1928, in Juniata, a daughter of the late Earl and Irma (Pluebell) Weaver. On May 17, 1946, in Somerset, she married Roy F. Mock who preceded her in death on November 22, 2013.  She is survived by five sons:  Roy F. Mock Jr., and wife Nancy of Bedford, Ronald L. Mock, and friend Patricia of Bedford, R. Carl Mock, and wife Wanda of Pensacola, FL, Daniel G. Mock, and wife Lisa of Houston, and Timothy W. Mock, and wife Tracy of Fishertown; four daughters: Judith A. Powell, of Schellsburg, Patricia G. Price, and husband Wayne of Bedford,  Karon S. Mock, of Ebensburg, and Sharon L. Diehl, and husband Mike of Bedford; 21 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; five brothers: Earl  Weaver, of Penn Yan, NY, Robert Weaver, of Duncansville, Melvin "Toby" Weaver, of Penn Yan, NY, Charles Weaver, of Penn Yan, NY, and George Weaver, of Oakland, CA; and one sister, Emma Miller, of Penn Yan, NY. She was preceded in death by 1 son, David J. Mock, 1 granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Pennel, 1 brother, Merle Weaver and 1 step-sister, Beulah Glass.

Ruth worked for a few years as a nutrition Aid for Penn State.  She attended Mt. Zion Church of Pavia.  She loved God, and her family meant everything to her.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel, at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Timothy Mock officiating.  Burial at Fishertown Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 5 - 9 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.   Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
