Ruth Anne Mincks

Ruth Anne Mincks, dear friend and loving wife of CAPT Charles “Stan” Mincks, USCG (Ret.)of Glade Pike, Manns Choice, passed into the presence of her Lord on Wednesday evening, March 22, in her home, surrounded by family and friends. She was born on April 30, 1940, in Los Angeles, CA. to the late Rev. Melvin and Grace (Hooper) Haug. Stan and Ruth Anne were married on June 11, 1966, in Hines, Oregon, and had four daughters: Esther, wife of  Rev. John Waldrop, of Prague, Czech Republic; Elizabeth, wife of Peter Barry, of Pittsburgh; Rebecca, wife of Michael Barry, of Boone, N.C.; and Rachel, wife of David Howsare, of Manns Choice.

Ruth Anne is also survived by four sisters: Mary, wife of Rev. Paul Young of Tucson, AZ; Carol, wife of Charles C. Walker, of Vancouver, WA; Elaine Turley of Livingston, Montana; and Esther Martin of Portland, Oregon.

Stan and Ruth Anne attended Trinity Church on Dry Ridge.  The Mincks have had a long and happy association with the White Sulphur Springs Conference Center in Manns Choice. A loving wife and mother, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her bright smile, cheerful disposition, and unshakable faith.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 25, 2006, at 11:00 AM from the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with the Rev. John Waldrop officiating.  Burial following in Dry Ridge Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at the funeral home.  Those wishing may make contributions to The Officer’s Christian Fellowship, White Sulphur Springs Hotel, 4499 Milligans Cove Road, Manns Choice,  PA 15550, in her memory.
