Ruth C. Miller

Ruth C. Miller, 89 of Teaberry Road, Bedford, died Thursday, December 30, 2010 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She was born February 2, 1921 in Bedford, daughter of the late Chester and Cora (Perdew) Cessna. On June 27, 1954, she married William Miller and he preceded her in death on February 23, 1991.  She is survived by three  children; Janey Black, fiancé of Doug Hagstrom, Michael Miller, Janice wife of Paul Hagerich, all of Bedford, four grandchildren, and two great granddaughters.  Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters:  Nellie wife of Paul Livengood of Bedford, Mary Emma wife of Harvey VanDerlyn of Brewster, NY, Ronald Cessna and wife Shelby of Micado, MI, Margaret “Peg” wife of Thomas Weaverling of Friends Cove, Nancy wife of Eric Ritchey of Carlisle, Daniel Cessna and wife Anna Louise of Friends Cove, Richard “Jerry” Cessna and wife Susan of Rainsburg, Thomas Cessna and wife Veronica of Bedford, and her caregiver and friend, LeAnn Barnes of Bedford.  She was preceded in death by a daughter Deborah, wife of James E. Wertz of Bedford, four brothers; Benjamin “Teet”, William, Robert, and James “Son” Cessna, and one sister, Betty Jane Cessna.

Funeral services: Monday, January 3, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with Rev. Jeff Welsch officiating.  Burial at Woods Church Cemetery.
