Rosina A. Ickes

Rosina A. Ickes, 84 of Stoney Lane, Bedford, died Thursday, August 11, 2011 at her residence.  She was born July 16, 1927 in Munich, Germany, daughter of the late Josef and Anna Bergmeuller.  On September 4, 1948 in Wolfsburg, she married Raymond R. Ickes and he preceded her in death on January 8, 1992.  She is survived by two daughters; Rosemarie widow of Irvin J. Stiffler, Tammy C. wife of Doug Walsh, both of Bedford and a son Werner A. Ickes, married to the former Yvonne Manning of Lancaster, Pa.  Also surviving are nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, two brothers; Xaver and Christl, two sisters; Peta and Luise.   She was preceded in death by four brothers, Johann, Jakob, Max and Edi.

Mrs. Ickes was a member of the Bedford Ladies of the Moose and the German-American Society.  She loved wildlife and the outdoors.  She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed.

Funeral services; Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Timothy A.
