Romaine W. Hrivnak

Romaine W. Hrivnak, 79, S. Richard Street, Bedford, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.  She was born on September 2, 1934, in Manns Choice, a daughter of the late Warren and Blanche (Ruby) Ross. On September 15, 1962, in Columbia Station, OH, she married John Hrivnak who preceded her in death on November 23, 2006.  She is survived by a son, Rick Bittner, and wife Sharon of Webster, FL, a daughter, Ronda Davis of Claysburg, a step-son, Johnny J. Hrivnak, of Jamestown, NY, five grandchildren: Andrea, Billy, Derrick, Steven, and Jerrod; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry Ross and wife Katherine of Mt. Pleasant, MI; two sisters, Bonnie Gardner, and Andrea wife of Bill Allen all of Bedford; and companion, Vaughn Kilby, of Bedford.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Roxie Bittner, and a brother Ted Ross.

Romaine retired in 1998 as the Head Counselor at Scotland School for Veteran’s Children.  She was a member of the Bedford American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Fort Bedford VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the Bedford Moose Ladies Auxiliary.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 12:00 p.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev.
