Roger S. Nave

August 26, 1929 — May 30, 2010

Roger S. Nave, 80 of Upper Snake Spring Valley Road, Everett, died early Sunday morning, May 30, 2010 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.  He was born August 26, 1929 in Cumberland Valley TWP, son of the late Sherman R. and Helen (Hammer) Nave.  On November 14, 1953 in Centerville, he married Dorothy Weaverling and she survives along with two sons;  Bradley S. Nave married to the former Kathy Myers, of Georgetown, Indiana, Bartley W. Nave married to the former Lynn M. Kilcoin, of Lincoln University, PA., five grandchildren;  Sarah wife of Jason Flannery, Ashley wife of Christopher Symes, Garrett S., Valerie L. and Stephanie K. Nave. Also surviving are two sisters; Alice N. widow of Irvin Kenen of Edison, NJ and Barbara widow of Joseph Arnold of Bedford.  He was preceded in death by a brother,  First Lt. Robert L. Nave.

Mr. Nave was a member of Bedford Trinity Lutheran Church, a member and former president of Bedford Development Council, former member of the Airport Authority, and former bank director for First National Bank.  He was also a member of Bedford Masonic Lodge #320 F.&A.M.,  and the Jaffa Shrine in Altoona.  He was a real estate agent and owned Suburban Real Estate in Bedford for many years.

Funeral Services: Friday June 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Jason Flannery officiating.  Burial at Bedford Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday morning.  There will be a Masonic Service held at 7:30 Thursday evening.  In lieu of flowers those wishing may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
