Robert R. Raab Sr.

Robert R. Raab Sr., 87, of Bedford, died on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Bedford Colonial Courtyard. He was born on August 9, 1938 in Madera, a son of the late William and Theresa (Mosley) Raab. On March 4, 1961 in Madera he married Elizabeth (Hanayik) Raab and she survives along with three children: Robert Raab Jr. of New Jersey, Lori Fox and husband George of Bedford, and Melissa Baker and husband Larry of Virginia; six grandchildren: Mallorie Kidd and husband Jason, Shane Fox and wife Julie, Marcie Chiarlone and husband Steve, Beth Guglietti and husband Ryan, Lawrence Baker and wife Rizan, and Shelby Baker; ten great-grandchildren: Jude, Jaxon, Bodie, James, Olivia, Alina, Paige, Johnny, Nate, and Andrew; two brothers-in-law: Steve Hanayik and Robert Hanayik and wife Cindi; a sister-in-law, Mary Lawrence; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six sisters and five brothers.

Robert was a lineman for Sprint and retired after 35 years of employment. He was a member of the Bedford Fire Department and the Bedford Elks Lodge #1707.

His later part of life was spent enjoying time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he adored. He enjoyed his beach trips with family and playing pinochle with his friends at the senior center.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Jim Miller officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
