Robert J. Johnson 84 of Donahoe Manor Road, Bedford, died Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home. He was born April 2, 1924 in Bridgeport, CT, son of the late Stanley and Eva (Oliver) Johnson. On October 10, 1953 in Tokyo, Japan he married Yoyai Ikeda and she preceded him in death on March 19, 1983. He is survived by a daughter, Janice wife of Steve Stroup of Bedford, four grandchildren: Catherine, Samantha, Alexandra and Steven Stroup. He was preceded in death by a son Bruce A. Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was a Navy 2nd class radioman during World War II. He had worked 37 years for RCA as a Logistics Engineer. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed being a ham radio operator. His first love was his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with whom his spirit rests.
Memorial services will be at the convenience of the family with interment at Locustwood Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ. There will be no visitation. Our online guest book is available at wwwberkebilefuneralhome.com.
