Robert M. Cropper

Robert M. Cropper, Jr., 73 of Manns Choice, died, Sunday evening, January 31, 2010 at his residence. He was born March 23, 1936 in Lenni, son of the late Robert M. Cropper, Sr. and Amy (Favenger) Cropper. He was formerly married to Shirley A. Cropper of Manns Choice. Surviving are three daughters: Michelle A. Cropper of Manns Choice, Lynnette A. Ward of Johnstown, and Renée I. Cropper Barton of Chesterfield, VA, eight grandsons: Robert, Shawn, Bruce, Jason, Jesse, Christopher, Alex, Tyler, one granddaughter, Jessica, two great grandchildren; Robert M. and Connor R. Also surviving are four brothers: Ronald Cropper and wife Rosemary of Delaware, Gary Cropper of Aston, Raymond Cropper and wife Sherri of Delaware, Curtis Cropper and wife Jane of Jennersville, one sister, Bonnie Stufflet of Lenni. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Jimmy, William and Barry.
Mr. Cropper was a member of the Calvary Episcopal Church in Aston. He was a Captain in the Merchant Marines, until his retirement in 1987, at which time he became a Port Captain in Corpus Christi, TX.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at the Calvary Episcopal Church in Aston, PA. Burial in the Church Cemetery. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford. Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
