Robert Joseph Boudreau, 74, of S. Richard St., Bedford, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Colonial Courtyard in Bedford. He was born May 17, 1937 in Gardner, MA, son of the late Alban and Bertha (Brideau) Boudreau. On January 28, 1961 in Orlando, FL, he married Lydia Vitkauskas and she survives along with the following children: Nanette wife of Joe Bankes of Bedford, Stephen and wife Julie of Paris, France, Denise wife of Fawaz Aweineh of Katy, TX, Jason and wife Michelle of Chambersburg and Nicole wife of Eli Nichols of Katy, TX, twelve grandchildren; Jocelyn wife of Joshua McCorkle, John Bankes and wife Ashley, Joette Bankes and Fiancé Soel Pineda, Cassie and Raphael Boudreau, Manal and Fiancé Alladien Salaymeh, Zade and Laith Aweineh, Lauren, Jared and Jenna Boudreau and Sophie Nichols. Also surviving are two great grandchildren; Daniella Pineda and Finley Bankes, and baby McCorkle due on his birthday, May 17th, and the following brothers and sisters; Dolores wife of Dr. Jorge DeNapoli of Amesbury, MA, Norman Boudreau and wife Carol of Fitchburg, MA, his twin brother, Raymond Boudreau and wife Anita of Gardner, MA and Louise wife of Aurele Maillet of Nashua, NH. He was preceded in death by a brother Clarence Boudreau, husband of Marie Boudreau of Jackson, NJ.
Robert was a dedicated worker at Hedstrom and retired from the Research and Development Department after 35 years of service. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford, and served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed spending time with his family, antiquing, and genealogy.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Thomas Catholic Church in Bedford with Father Donald Dusza Celebrant. Burial at St. Thomas Cemetery. Friends will be received on Monday evening, from 7-9 p.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 8:30 p.m. Those wishing may make contributions to St. Thomas Catholic Church, 215 E.
