Robert Barnett Blackburn, 84, of Hawthorne Drive, Everett, died Thursday, September 25, 2014 at his residence. He was born on September 10, 1930, in New York, NY, a son of the late J. Russell and Hazel (Barnett) Blackburn. On July 29, 1950, in Bedford, he married Bonnie L. (Bowser) Blackburn who survives along with the following family: two sons, Robert B. Blackburn Jr. and wife Dorothy, of Friedens, Jeffrey R. Blackburn and wife Jackie; two daughters, Ann B. England, wife of Daniel, Jeanette Winesickle wife of Joseph all of Bedford; nine grandchildren: Andrew B. Blackburn, Eli A. Blackburn and wife Michelle, Molly M. Blackburn, Justin J. Blackburn, and wife Lisa, Jenna H. Treece, and husband Jared, Jeffrey D. England, and wife Katie, Joel R. England, and companion Latasha Tomlinson, Robert A. Winesickle, and wife Jessica, and Christina J. DiFerdinando, and husband Matthew; nine great-grandchildren: Ali, Nate, Owen, Josiah, Jorja, Jensen, Kaelyn, Hadleigh, and John; a brother, John R. “Jack” Blackburn Jr. husband of the late Elizabeth, of Bedford; three nieces and two nephews.

Mr. Blackburn was a partner of Blackburn-Russell Company for 47 years. He served on the boards of Hartley National Bank, Mid-State Bank and Trust, and Keystone Financial.  He served as a Trustee of Bedford Presbyterian Church, and on the Board for the Fishertown Cemetery Association.

Funeral Services will be private.  Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.   In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions in Robert’s name to: Bedford Presbyterian Church, 145 S.
