Richard W. Seibert, 90, of Bedford, died on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at his residence. He was born on July 16, 1932, in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Daniel W. and Clarabelle (Graves) Seibert. On August 29, 1953, in Baltimore, MD, he married Mary Lou (Carey) Seibert who preceded him in death on December 12, 2016. He is survived by survived by two daughters: Dawn M. Nave and husband Joe of Bedford, and Pamela G. Kagarise and husband Matthew also of Bedford; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two infant children, a daughter, Deborah L. Seibert, and three sisters.
Richard was a Navy veteran and a member of the Trans Run United Methodist Church. He owned and operated his own ESSO gas station in Baltimore, MD for a short time. After that he worked for Exxon traveling around servicing their gas stations. He moved to Bedford and worked for the children and youth for 16 years and retired. He then delivered supplies for Brown Motor Supply. Richard enjoyed buying and refinishing cars and reselling them. He also did that with houses as a hobby. He played the piano and the drums, and was in a band called Biscuits and Gravy. He also enjoyed people watching and talking with others.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Trans Run United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Justin Keel officiating. A celebration of life and pot luck meal will be held and served on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the Trans Run United Methodist Church at 12:30 p.m. following the regular church service.
