Richard W. Laube

Richard W. Laube, 92, of Simon Drive, Middletown, formerly of Bedford, died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at his residence. He was born on August 19, 1920, in Lancaster, a son of the late Richard J. and Clara R. (Trimble) Laube. He married Edith M. Ganse who preceded him in death on April 22, 1988.  He is survived by two daughters: Rebecca A. and husband James M. Clark of Bedford, and Dianne M. Laube of Middletown, two granddaughters: Susan T. and husband Tim Kauffman of Elizabethtown, and Sharon Boschini of Pittsburgh, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, a sister Mary R. Kiehl, of Lancaster, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert W. Ritchey, and a brother Robert J. Laube.

Richard attended and was the first graduating class of J.P. McCaskey High School. He was a WWII Army Veteran.  He worked as a supervisor for the Hamilton Watch Company for over 40 years and was a former member of the Lancaster Hiking Club.

At the request of the deceased there will be no services.  Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to: World War Two Veterans of Southwest Pennsylvania Memorial Fund, P.O.
