Reginald J. Fox, 90, of Bedford, formerly of Schellsburg, died Thursday, December 25, 2008 at Colonial Courtyard in Bedford. He was born on November 24, 1918 in Lancaster, a son of the late Reginald J. Fox Sr. and Elizabeth (Trout) Fox.. He is survived by a son, Donald J. Fox , of Columbus, OH, son, Reginald Warren Fox, of Willow Street, a son, David H. Fox of Lancaster, a daughter, Barbara S. wife of Dennis R. Doster of Schaefferstown, a son, Larry D. Fox, of Oakland, CA, a step-son, Thomas R. Fox, of Texas, 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, a brother, William Fox, and wife Leah of Long Island, NY, and a sister, Doris, wife of William Nolan of Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by his first wife Adalyne (Reese) Fox and his second wife Ethel Theresa (Bodnar) Fox.
He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Bedford, Bedford Lions Club, Bedford Kawins, and the Fort Bedford Regional Antique Car Club. He retired as a freight conductor for the Pennsylvania Railroad, He was active with Bedford County Children and Youth, and enjoyed volunteering at Old Bedford Village. He served in the Army during WWII.
Funeral services: Monday, December 29, 2008, at 11:00 AM in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with the Rev. Dr. Howard W. White officiating. Burial at Schellsburg Cemetery.
