Randall R. Nye

Randall Ross Nye, 56, of Riddlemoser Road, Manns Choice, died Thursday, February 12, 2009 at his residence.  He was born on August 3, 1952, in Takoma Park, MD, a son of the late Merle E. and Florence (Brown) Nye.  He is survived by his three sisters, Nancy, wife of George Economos, of Isle of Palms, SC, Rosemary, wife of  David Bruce Nolen, of Palo Alto, CA, Laurene Devine, of Phoenix, AZ, nine nieces and nephews:  Cassandra Beale, Cynthia Urban, Nicole Martin, Alexis Economos, George W. Economos, Alison Nolen, Miranda Nolen, Christopher Devine, and Kerry Olney.

Randy worked in banking as an Assistant Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer.  He moved to Pennsylvania in 1995.  Randy loved living in the country where his favorite pastime was working in his garden and looking at the Pennsylvania landscape.  He took special pride in growing his own tomatoes and other vegetables.  Randy enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.  Sports were an important part of Randy’s life.  He followed several teams in baseball and football, but he had a special fondness for golf.  An animal lover, Randy always had at least one canine companion by his side.  He will be remembered by his family for his dry sense of humor, the warmth of his smile, and his sweet nature.
