Phyllis J. (Weaverling) Hiquet

Phyllis J. Hiquet 94, of Bedford, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 25, 1923 in Saxton, a daughter of Vernon and Julia (Atkins) Weaverling. She had been married to Robert E. Tydeman of Pocatello, Idaho, and to Joseph L. Hiquet, of Saxton. Surviving is her nephew, Jeffrey Weaverling and wife Jill, of Mt. Lebanon. She was preceded in death by her son Jim Tydeman, and a brother, Harry Weaverling and wife Dorothy.
Phyllis worked for Metro-Goldwyn Mayer in San Francisco, CA, Hampden Savings Bank in Springfield, MA, and the Area Agency on Aging in Bedford. After 23 years of service with the Agency she retired in 1998. She was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church of Bedford. She enjoyed her time traveling, many friends, Penn State Football Games, playing cards and doing crafts.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m, at the St. James Episcopal Church, in Bedford, with Rev. Edward Pritts and Rev. Jeff Bassette officiating.
