Phyllis D. Cottle

Phyllis Dodson Cottle, 81 of Canada Lane, Everett, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.  She was born April 16, 1929 in Snake Spring TWP, daughter of the late Clyde and Janet (Clark) Smith.  She was first married to Walter M. Dodson and he preceded her in death on May 31, 1970, her second husband was Jesse Cottle and he preceded her in death on December 25, 1992.  She is survived by three children; Jack M. Dodson, Sr., married to the former Mary Ann Smyers of New Enterprise, Roger A Dodson of Everett and Janet D. wife of Roger Williams of Clearville, seven grandchildren: Jack Dodson, Jr., Becky wife of Mike Allison, Dustin Dodson and wife Shery, Michael, Stephanie, and Darla Dodson, and Jared Galliher.  Also surviving is a step-son Donald Cottle and wife Bonnie of Everett, and three step-grandchildren; Mike and Rick Cottle and Teresa Wilson. Special thank you to Curtis and Glenda Smith for their loving kindness.   She was preceded in death by two brothers; Robert Smith and Clyde Smith, Jr., husband of Marlene of Everett.

Mrs. Cottle was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Funeral services:  Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with Timothy Leblanc officiating.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.  Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
