Philip J. Smith 75, of Everett, died Friday, July 22, 2022 at Pennknoll Village.  He was born on August 29, 1946 in Altoona a son of the late Edward and Marie (Trexler) Smith.  On May 3, 1997 in Bedford he married Marie (Dovala) Smith who survives along with two step-children: Theresa M. Miles and husband Brandon, of Presto, Donald E. Cooper and wife Michelle, of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren: Andrew and Zachary Miles, and Clayton and Carson Cooper; and four siblings: Ruth M. Novack, George E. Smith, William E. Smith, and Dolores Perkins.  He was preceded in death by a step-son Christopher Cooper; and eight siblings: Rita Miedl, Charles, James, Thomas, Dorothy, and Raymond Smith, Mildred Gray Stafford, and Mary Kruise Snowberger.

Philip was a driver for Blue and White Bus Lines, and was a great entertainer to his passengers.  He also drove for H. Fred Barefoot Trucking hauling milk for over 20 years.  Philip served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Enterprise during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.  He was a member of the St. Thomas Catholic Church, as well as a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, Assembly 2529.  He was always smiling, and loved his family and friends.  Philip will be sadly missed by all.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, with Father Richard Tomkosky Celebrant.  Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park.  Friends will be received on Sunday, from 2-5 p.m., at the Timothy A.
