Philip S. Miller

Philip “Pete” Staggers Miller, 98, of Wrightsville, went to be with Jesus, on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Stella Maris Hospice, in Timonium, MD.  He was born on July 7, 1915, a son of the late Edward and Minnie (Delancy) Miller.  He then married Nellie E. (Groves) Miller who preceded him in death on February 28, 1999.   A beloved father and grandfather, he is survived by three daughters: Anna Mae widow of Lee R. Caudle of Martinsburg, WV, Mary Catheryn wife of William K. Ferguson of Lanham, MD and Francis Marie wife of Karl E. Cessna of Baltimore, MD; 9 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 17 siblings.

He was previously employed by S.S. Groves Sawmill, in Bedford, and AMF Harley Davidson, of York.  A faithful member of Windsor Assembly of God, Windsor, an honorable man of great integrity, who began each day of his life reading the Bible, his most treasured possession.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Rev. James Levkulich officiating.  Burial at Providence Lutheran Church Cemetery, in Centerville.  Friends will be received on Friday, from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m., at the funeral home.
