Oliver L. Mcdaniel

Oliver Lee McDaniel, 80, of Chalybeate Road, Bedford, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, in Johnstown. He was born on August 12, 1929 in Everett, a son, of the late Oliver R. and Phyllis Reba (Riley) McDaniel.  On June 12, 1954 in Cumberland, MD, he married  Ada Frances Knisely who survive along with the following family, a son, Michael Lee McDaniel of Bedford, a daughter, Bonita Landis of Cape Coral , FL, a daughter, Teresa McDaniel of Bedford, three grandsons Kyle, Sean, Mike, and one granddaughter Kelli, four great grandchildren, one brother, Joe Allen McDaniel and wife Sandra of Bedford, two sisters, Joanne wife of Robert Howsare of Bedford, and Doris wife of Dan Cook of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by two brothers:  Ray Edward and Thomas Ray McDaniel and infant brother Kenneth.

He retired as a brick layer from Allied Craftman in 1992 and was a member of the International Union of Brick Layers.  As a hobby Lee would make, repair, and sell violins.

Funeral Services:  Sunday, January 3, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, Inc., with David Johnson officiating.  Burial at Union Memorial Cemetery, in Mench.  Friends will be received on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
