Ocie E. Mccreary

Ocie E. McCreary, 98 of Homewood Nursing Home, formerly of Fishertown, died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Homewood in Martinsburg. She was born July 7, 1912 in Windber, daughter of the late Roy S. and Elizabeth (Trout) Hann. On May 5, 1931, she married Roy H. McCreary, and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1992. She is survived by three children; Louise, wife of Donald Motto of Fishertown, Edmund McCreary, married to the former Audrey Barron of Bedford, and Pearl wife of Scott Kostenbauder of Poughquag, NY, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Ruth’e Weyant, two sisters; Margaret Claycomb and Doris Wilfong.
Mrs. McCreary was a member of St. Paul’s Reform Church in Cessna, and had worked for many years at the Fairfoot Shoe Factory.
Funeral Services: Monday, January 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Howard Sloan officiating. Burial in the Fishertown Cemetery. Friends will be received on Sunday, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
