Norman R. Smith, 90, of Dogwood Road, Bedford, died Saturday, February 25, 2012 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital. He was born November 5, 1921 in Friends Cove, son of the late Blaine and Zenia (Miller) Smith. On September 27, 1952 in Cumberland, MD, he married Bernice H. Morris, who survives along with a daughter Linda wife of Jerry Strohe of Bangor, and a son David Russell Smith and wife Barbara of Bedford. Also surviving are two grandchildren; David Strohe and wife Melissa of Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane WA and Misty Pilosi and husband John of Easton, one great grandson Matthew Strohe, two brothers; Donald Smith and wife Mary Edna of Rainsburg, and Floyd Smith of Toledo, Ohio.
Mr. Smith was a World War II Army veteran and a retired farmer.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Randy Feaster officiating.
