Norman E. Seibert

Norman E. Seibert, 85, of Bedford, died on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born on May 15, 1939 in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Milton J. and Lucille (Selway) Seibert. On June 21, 1958 in Pasadena, MD, he married Lamerle "Sue" (Mattox) Seibert who survives along with the following family: a daughter Starla J. Blank of Ocean City, MD; a son David E. Seibert and wife Rhonda of Glen Burnie, MD; and a son John E. Seibert of Pasadena, MD; four grandchildren: Daniel and wife Carolyn, Rachel, Kelly, and Tia and husband Ray; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two brothers Richard H. and Jerry J. Seibert, and one sister Carole Listman.

Norman graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1957.  He worked as a mechanic and then drove a milk delivery truck for the dairy until 1965. He retired in 2004 as an over the road truck driver.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR, riding motorcycles, bowling, and playing cards. Norman was a very friendly person who loved people and was never afraid to talk to a stranger.  He was very funny, ornery, caring and generous and will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bedford Methodist Church in Bedford, with Jim Miller officiating.  Friends will be received on Saturday, from 10 - 11 at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to the Bedford Methodist Church, 132 East John Street, Bedford, PA 15522.  Arrangements by Timothy A.
