Nora A. (Anderson) Shoemaker

Nora A. Shoemaker 94, of Bedford, died Thursday, May 30, 2024.  She was born on February 5, 1930 in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Alfred D. and Edith S. (Smith) Anderson.  On March 7, 1953 in Cessna she married Paul F. Shoemaker who preceded her in death on May 16, 2019.  She is survived by the following nieces and nephews: Jeff Anderson, Colleen Anderson, Michael Anderson, Dale Shoemaker, William Shoemaker, and Gale Lindahl.  She was preceded in death by three siblings: Dean Anderson, Robert Anderson, and Patricia Price.

Nora was a graduate of the Schellsburg-Napier High School.  She retired from Hartley National Bank after 21 years. Nora and Paul were co-owners of the Washington Bakery in Bedford for over 27 years.  She was a member of the Milligans Cove Christian Church.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Russell Hoffman officiating.
