Nancy E. Moon

Nancy E. Moon 73 of Hartley Road, Bedford, died Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the Altoona Hospital.  She was born April 11, 1934 in Bedford, daughter of the late Paul A. and Martha S. (Knisely) Diehl.  On January 2, 1993 in Bedford she married William G. Moon and he preceded her in death on January 9, 2001.  She is survived by a son Allen Boor married to the former Tanya Foor of Bedford, three step-children: Constance T. wife of Jeffrey Dively of Wood bury, Julie A. wife of Jeffrey Stone of Everett and Laura L. wife of David Jones of Raleigh, NC. Also surviving is a brother Daniel  married to the former Ann Simmons of Bedford, three step-grandchildren: Brady, Preston and Tanner, one niece Letricia wife of Randy Mearkle of Bedford, two nephews, Shannon Diehl of Delaware, Paul Diehl and wife Nicole of Roaring Spring, six great nieces and nephews: Lucas, Sarah,  Liza, Chloe,  Eliah and Mikah.

Mrs. Moon was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.  She had worked as a telephone operator in Bedford for nine years and then worked as a secretary at Owenby Auto Parts in Lakeland, FL from 1974 to 1989.  She was a 1952 graduate of Bedford High School.

Funeral Services: Wednesday 11:00 am in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Daniel Diehl officiating.
