Mildred N. Replogle, 83, of Cumberland Road, Bedford, died Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home. She was born on October 20, 1925, in Pavia, a daughter, of the late John Homer and Clara (Dibert) Crist. On May 5, 1945 in Baltimore, MD, she married Daniel E. Replogle and he preceded her in death on July 11, 2008. She is survived by a daughter, Debbie L., wife of Monte Rosentrater of Bedford, a daughter, Darlene K., wife of Roger Price of Everett, a son, Daniel E. Replogle Jr., married to the former Barbara Fisher, of Gardners, five grandchildren: Clint Rosentrater and wife Drusilla, Roger L. Price Jr. and wife Nora, Paul Daniel Price and wife Beth, Daniel E. Replogle III, and Sara Ann Replogle, one great granddaughter Sidney Price, two brothers: Owen Kay Crist, and wife Janet of Bedford, John Crist, and wife Mary of Greencastle, and numerous nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by one granddaughter Patricia Ann Price, and one brother Homer Kendall Crist.
She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Bedford. She worked during the war as an inspector for the Sylvania War Plant in Altoona, also as a Census taker for Bedford County in 1970, and in the cafeteria at Bedford High School. She was one of the founders of the Bedford Women’s Bowling league. She formerly enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, Inc., with the Rev. Joseph Puleo officiating. Burial at Bedford County Memorial Park. Friends will be received on Tuesday, 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
