Mildred E. Judy

Mildred E. Judy, 89, of Judy Road, Bedford, died Friday evening, March 30, 2012 at Pennknoll Village.  She was born on July 26, 1922 in Everett, a daughter of the late Earl R. and Sara Jane (Steele) Wilson.  On February 27, 1939 in Bedford, she married Foster L. Judy, and he preceded her in death on February 11, 2000.  She is survived by a son Ronald Lee Judy of Bedford, two daughters; Nancy Jane wife of William Stern of Winchester, VA, and Shirley Jean Judy of Bedford, three grandsons; Charles W. Stern and Fiancée Marcie, David L. Stern and wife Rebecca, Timothy D. Stern and wife Samantha, four great grandchildren; Jennifer, Braden, Sarah Beth and Carson.  Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters; Paul Wilson and wife Helen of Monroeville, Alberta Rose of Bedford, Patricia Mock of Georgia, Robert Wilson and wife Betty, Barbara, wife of Jerry Miller, both of Bedford.  She was preceded in death by two sisters; Dorothy Tew and Carolyn Wilson and an infant son, Richard.

Mrs. Judy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bedford, a 50 year plus member of both the Bedford Springs Chapter #41, Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Aux. She had worked with her husband at Judy’s Body Shop as a bookkeeper and also was a representative for Sarah Coventry Jewelry for many years.  She enjoyed gardening and her pets.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford, with Rev. Raymond Short officiating.  Burial at the Ritchey Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, where an Eastern Star service will be held at 7:00 p.m.  Our online guest book is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
