Michael J. Mundwiler

Michael J. Mundwiler, 73, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of Bedford, died on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at his residence. He was born on June 26, 1951, in Bedford, a son of the late Robert G. and Anna Ruth (Blackburn) Mundwiler. On September 27, 1997, in Everett, PA, he married Reta S. (Darr) Mundwiler who survives along with an uncle, Donald Blackburn of Osterburg.  He was preceded in death by a brother, James, and a sister, Nancy Polley.

Michael was a 1969 graduate of Bedford High School, a 1971 graduate of Potomac State College of West Virginia University, as well as a 1973 graduate of State of West Virginia Sheperd College. He then worked for Lane Enterprises as an accountant, retiring after 35 years. Michael was affiliated with the Mechanicsburg Church of the Brethren where he was involved with the memorial fund and helping with the sound equipment. He also enjoyed reading, and was a member of Carmella Book Club.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Mechanicsburg Church of the Brethren, 301 Gale St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Friends will be received from 9:30 – 11 a.m. at the church with a meal to follow in the Fellowship Hall. Arrangements by Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.
