Michael R. "Mike" Hillegass

Michael R. Hillegass 58, of Manns Choice, died Friday December 6, 2019.  He was born on February 11, 1961 in Everett, a son of the late Robert R. and Donna B. (Crissman) Hillegass.  On October 11, 1986 in Somerset, he married Lisa (Nist) Hillegass who survives along with a daughter, Megan Crabtree and husband Mark, of Bedford.  He was preceded in death by a sister Pamela Hillegass.

Mike was a 1979 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School, and worked at Lane Metal since 1996 as a Mill Coordinator.  He was a trustee and active member of the Manns Choice United Methodist Church.  Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Pirates baseball, and spending time with his family, and his dog Dexter.  He was a wonderful, loving, and caring husband and father.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor James Golla officiating.  Burial at Bedford Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Monday, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Those wishing may make memorial contributions in Mike’s name to: Manns Choice United Methodist Church, 10137 Hyndman Road, Manns Choice, PA 15550.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
