Meredith A. (Emeigh) Barron

Meredith A. Barron, 103, of Bedford, died Monday, March 14, 2016, at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.  She was born on February 9, 1913 in Kegg, a daughter of the late William H. and Rose (Sarver) Emeigh.  On February 27, 1934, in Shanksville she married Ethan A. Barron, who preceded her in death on January 24, 1988.  She is survived by a daughter, Audrey wife of Edmund McCreary, of Bedford; three granddaughters: Kelly Barron, of Ashville, NC, Kathleen Hoover and husband Donald, of Somers Point, NJ, and Kristen Geubtner, and husband Patrick, of Northfield, NJ; seven great-grandchildren: Grace Barron-Martinez and husband Michael, Margaret, Meredith, and William Hoover, Blaine, Anna, and Sage Geubtner and the mother of the three granddaughters Lois Barron.  She was preceded in death by a son, Blaine, and three sisters: Helen Emeigh, Hazel Weigle, and Florence Engleka, and a brother Cletus Emeigh.

Meredith was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, and was very active with many of the church’s activities.  She was a member of the Bedford Hospital Auxillary, RSVP, and the Bedford Springs Chapter #41 Order of the Eastern Star.  She enjoyed working in her flower garden and sharing them with her friends and neighbors.  Meredith loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, in Bedford, with Rev. Raymond E. Short officiating.  Burial at Bedford Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Monday, from 10:00 a.m., until the hour of the service at the church.  Arrangements by the Timothy A.
