Melissa D. Draeger

Melissa D. Draeger 44, of Alum Bank, died Monday, March 27, 2023.  She was born on November 6, 1978 in W. St. Clair Township, a daughter of John “Chris” and Karen (Poet) Draeger of Alum Bank.  In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son Devon Walter, at home, a brother Michael Draeger and fiancée Heidi Lampel, of Tirehill, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Melissa was a 1997 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School, and was on the softball team and high school band.  She worked for numerous places over the years, and most recently for Solensky Insurance Agency as a licensed agent.  Melissa was active in organizing the Relay for Life event in the Pleasantville area, and in recent years the Bedford County Crusaders for Cancer.  She attended the Connect Church in Pleasantville.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., at the Chestnut Ridge Fellowship Church, with Rev. Dan Oldham, Pastor Kevin Davis, and Pastor Brad Price officiating.  Friends will be received on Friday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers contributions maybe made to: American Cancer Society, 1004 N.
