Melinda J. Howsare, 48, of Breezewood, PA died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at her residence. She was born on October 23, 1961, in Kingwood, WV, a daughter, of the late Hurshel H. and Anna V. (Smith) Hovatter. On December 31, 1994 in Schellsburg, PA she married Joseph W. Howsare and he survives along with the following family, two daughters, Laura J. and Melissa J. Howsare both at home, three sisters, Mary R. Swain, Margaret A. Ervin and husband Byron, Marcia Elaine Kelley and husband Warren all of Independence, WV, two brothers, William C. Hovatter and wife Sarah of Independence, WV, Jeffrey L. Hovatter and wife Nancy of Newburg, WV, Step-mother, Elizabeth Hovatter of Independence, WV, Aunt, Carolyn J. Smith (Aunt Granny) of Grafton, WV, 12 nieces and nephews, and 14 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister Martha C. Sifers.
She worked at McDonalds in Breezewood, and enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family and friends.
Funeral Services and burial will be private. Friends will be received on Friday, May 21, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford.
