Mary L. Veach

Mary L. Veach, 86 of Everett, died on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. She was born on August 14, 1940 in Bedford a daughter of the late Lawrence “Pickle” and Hilda (Wertz) Hixon. On January 30, 1960 in Bedford, she married Keith Veach and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2019. She is survived by the following family: a daughter, Lori Wallace and husband Wayne of Scottsdale, AZ; two sons, Brian Veach and wife Patricia of Roseville, MN; and Kevin Veach and wife Dallison of Fairfax Station, VA; five grandchildren: Jenni Veach of Sunnyvale, CA, Paul Veach of Minneapolis, MN, Quinton Veach of Fairfax Station, VA, and Kendall and Kiera Veach both of Pittsburgh; and one great granddaughter Willa. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Lisa, and a sister Cora Jean Hixon. Mary graduated from Bedford High School in1958. She raised her three children before starting her career as an assistant office manager and retired from Hyde Park Foundry. She enjoyed being a grandmother, great-grandmother, square dancing, ball room dancing, RV camping, traveling, and going on cruises. The last 10 years she spent living at Homewood in Everett where she met a lot of wonderful people and enjoyed water volleyball, mahjong and all the other activities.

Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford.
