Mary L. (Shirey) Foor

Mary L. Foor 72, of Bedford, died on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home.  She was born on January 15, 1950 in Buffalo Mills a daughter of the late Dewey and Elsie (Stuby) Shirey.  On August 1, 1969 she married Roger F. Beegle who preceded her in death on January 16, 1999.  She then married Stephen E. Foor on September 4, 2004 and he survives along with her children: Roberta Lynn Blackburn and husband Jeff of Everett; Tami Meyers and husband Mark of South Fork; and Fred Beegle of Bedford; a step-son Travis Foor of Bedford; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a step-daughter Kristi Raymond; five brothers: George “Jake”, Donnie, Bobby, Earl “Bud”, and Ray Shirey; and five sisters: Irene Ranker, Doris Stahl, and Sara Mae Weaver.

Mary worked as a teacher’s aid, and was an active member of the Bedford American Legion Auxiliary.  She enjoyed her flower and vegetable garden, and decorating for every season of the year.  Mary dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor Eric Larson officiating.  Burial at St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 4-7 p.m., at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers those wishing may make donations in Mary’s name to a favorite charity of choice.  Our online guestbook is available at www.berkebilefuneralhome.com.
