Mary E. Robinette

Mary E. Robinette 86 of Dallastown, formerly of Manns Choice, died Saturday August 18, 2007 at Manor Care Health Services in Dallastown.  She was born April 24, 1921 in New Buena Vista, daughter of the late George and Lola Mae (Keller) Ranels.  On June 6, 1947 in Cumberland, MD she married Daniel I. Robinette and he preceded her in death on October 5, 1987.  She is survived by three children: Daniel G. Robinette married to the former Donna Kay Godall of Dover, Roger D. Robinette married to the former Lorie Sparks of Walkersville, MD and Debra formerly married to Gary Rogers of Harrisburg., 13 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and a sister Kay Catanese of Schellsburg.

She was preceded in death by four brothers: Clyde, Elwood, Russell and Benjamin Ranels and three sisters: Flora Carroll, Emma Rowser and Nellie Boozer.

Mrs. Robinette was a member of the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church and had worked at the Fairfoot Shoe Factory for many years.  She was a former member of the Bedford County Covered Bridge Society and the Bedford County Garden Club.

Funeral Services: Tuesday, 2:00 PM in the chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home in Bedford with Rev. Hayden Sparks officiating.  Burial in the Schellsburg Cemetery.  Friends will be received on Monday evening from 7-9 PM and on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers contribution may be made to your favorite charity in her memory.
