Mary V. Price

Mary V. Price, 78, of New Paris, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home.  She was born on April 16, 1930 in East St. Clair Twp, a daughter of the late Sewell E. and Cleo (McCleary) Way.  On May 27, 1978 in Fishertown, She married the late Guy R. “Bob” Price who preceded her in death on September 11, 2008.  She is survived by a sister, Opal A. Claycomb-Lozinski of Millheim, a brother, S. Arthur  widower of Carol E. Way of New Paris, niece, Nancy Gordon and husband Zane of Millheim, nephew, Mark A. Way and wife Connie of Manns Choice, nephew, David G. Way of Manns Choice, and a niece, Karen VanPelt of Kennedyville, MD. a step-daughter, Linda wife of Tracy  Etter, of Mechanicsburg, a step-son, Larry married to the former Nichole Glenny of Dauphin,  she was preceded in death by one infant sister Helen and two brothers Porte W. and Glenn S. Way.

Mary retired in 1985 from the United Telephone Company.  She enjoyed collecting dolls, hosting family reunions, traveling with her husband, and raising beautiful roses on the family farm.  Mary was a long time caregiver for her brother Porte, and had a special place in her heart for poodles.    Mary and her husband were members at the Pioneer Society and she was a life long member of Fishertown Friends Meeting House.

Funeral Services:  Sunday, September 21, 2008, at 4:00 PM in the Chapel at Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford with the Rev. Ruth E. Shaver officiating.
